Coventry is located in the heart of England and is perfect for those who want a city life without the cost of the big city. Facts and Achievements: Coventry aims to provide students with relevant experiences that are applicable in their future and so has established links with the best companies in the industry. They also have a programme called the Add+Vantage modules, which provides students with further experiences to help increase their employability. Based on the DLHE survey (2012/13), 94% of Coventry University’s graduates are employed or in further study. They also achieved a 93% score on student satisfaction based on the National Student Survey.
Courses: This April 2015, the intake offers postgraduate programmes at Coventry’s London Campus. Subjects include: Global Business, International Fashion Management and Oil and Gas Management. Undergraduate programmes are also offered at Coventry University, including: Financial Services, Law and Practice and Biological and Chemical Sciences.
For the September 2015 intake the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are available in areas such as Engineering, Art and Design and Health and Life Sciences.
The university also offers foundation programmes that lead to a full degree at the university. The programmes offered are International Foundation Programme, Masters Qualifying Programme and International Diploma Programme. Pre-sessional English courses are also available which can run up to 20 weeks.
English language requirement: Aside from meeting the academic requirements and other qualifications, you need to pass the English Language requirements. If you are applying for an undergraduate course you need to score (or equivalent) an IELTS score of 6.0. For postgraduate and top up programmes, the university requires students to have a score of 6.5.
International Student Support: With more than 5,000 international students from over 130 countries, Coventry University has made sure that the international students get the support they need.
They have established international clubs, societies and several international student support services to enable international students to easily adapt to the university life. They offer airport meet and greet from Heathrow and Birmingham International Airports.
The university also holds an International Induction Week during the first week of enrolment. You’ll have faculty induction were you will meet you’re tutors and be given a timetable and breakdown of the course. There’s also an International Office induction where you get to learn about the campus and several immigration matters.
