Getting accepted by a university in the UK and the process that comes after that may seem difficult, therefore it is important to fully understand what is needed. As Study Connect International, we make this process easy for you because we do majority of the work for you. The following is a step-by-step guide to show how one ends up studying in the UK by using our services;
Step 1: The University Search
All you need to start your university search is your grade 12 certificate or result slip. Our student advisors will match your grades with the course you want to study, this is to make sure that you meet the entry requirements for the degree you want to study. We also get additional information from you and your guardian such as what budget you are looking at when it comes to tuition fees, which area in the UK would suit you and your interests.
Once this is done, we will give you a list of universities that you can apply to and receive offers from. You and your guardians can have a look at each of the universities and choose the one you want to apply to. We then send in the application on your behalf and you will receive offers in a matter of days, if applied to early.
Step 2: CAS statement
When you receive your offer letter you can make arrangement to pay the first instalment of your tuition fees. Once you have done this you will receive a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). This is a letter that is required when you start applying for a visa, as it will show the university’s sponsor number, the course you want to study and how much you have paid towards your tuition and accommodation. In order to get a student visa, you need to pay a certain percentage of your tuition and accommodation fees.
It is important to start your university application early because the closer you get to the opening date the longer it takes universities to issue these statements.
Step 3: Visa Application
We have immigration consultants who are well trained to ensure that your student visa application is complete, so that chances of a visa denial are minimal. Some of the important things that we inform you about early in the application stage, is the need to have your guardians bank account ready for the visa application. UK immigration requires the bank account to have a certain amount of money for 28 days and you will also have to have a medical test done among other things.
Once the visa application has been filled out online, you will be given a submission date where you go and submit your application. After this is done, you will then have to wait for the student visa to be issued.
