Nursing and Healthcare Top Up Degree with Optional ONP for foreign-trained nurses.This 2 year BSc course aims to provide overseas trained nurses the opportunity to:

  • Develop comprehensive, evidence based knowledge and skills to deliver effective practice
  • Evaluate the impact on service delivery to positively influence health outcomes for patients/clients;
  • Develop the skills to analyse, reflect and critically evaluate current knowledge base and development practice experience
  • Establish key priorities for personal and professional development.

The course is structured in such a way that the first 18 months focuses on the degree course and the latter 6 months covers the Overseas Nurses Programme* or the ONP*, which is free.

During term time, students will have to attend their classes at least 12 hours per week. Plus, students will need to attend learning placement or an on-the-job training for 12 hours a week as well.
