Are UK universities expensive to study at?

Is it bad if I got offered a foundation degree?

It would actually be beneficial for you as an international student if you take this university preparation programme. Foundation degrees are aimed at international students like you to give you the necessary experience and qualifications to prepare you for a full degree in a university, and would only take one year to complete.

If successfully completed and you will pass the university standards, you can step forward into an entry to a university degree. Taking this course will not only fill in the gap between your current qualifications and a university undergraduate program entry standards, but will also let you advance your English skills (if needed) and get you ready for a university life in the UK. Most foundation degree providers offer this degree to be taken on a university campus and allow students to use the university facilities as well.

 

Are the best universities only found in London?

No. You can find some of the top universities in the UK outside of London. If you are in need of the city life and want to attend a well-recognised University, they are less expensive alternatives such as Birmingham, Manchester, Portsmouth and more. Though the country is just as nice and many well ranked universities lie in the British countryside.

Are the living costs expensive?

Where do I look for universities I can apply to?

It’s highly suggested that you go to student agencies, which provide services to international students regarding studying in the UK. With them, it will be easier for you to look for universities you desire as these agencies are affiliated with multiple universities (which can also mean more options for you). They can also give you relevant information about the university. Just make sure to verify that they have an official partnership with these universities.
